Collaborative Textile Exhibit during Design Week Portland

Summary
Showcasing how historical archives can be utilized to influence the next generation of design, Textile Hive celebrates the recent online launch of its textile knowledge base project with an exhibit in The Steven Goldman Gallery at The Art Institute of Portland from October 9-31st.

The exhibit features historic textiles from Textile Hive's Andrea Aranow Collection as well as fabrics designed by The Art Institute of Portland Fashion Program students. Textile Hive will also present its knowledge base and short videos featuring the hidden stories behind many fabrics on display.

Everyone is welcome at the opening reception on Thursday, October 9 from 6-8pm and The Steven Goldman Gallery, 1122 NW Davis St., Portland, OR 97209.
